Client Preparation Guidelines for Contact-Based Insecticide Spray Application

Methodology: For the reasons of safety and regulations, only suitable surfaces and areas will be treated with insecticide.

In the Kitchen, Closets, Cabinets, Drawers, Underside of Tables & Chairs and surrounding area may be some of the places where the treatment may be applied. Cracks and Gaps may be injected with the insecticide.

What is the Nature of the Treatment?

The insecticide spray may or may not have an odor. The insecticides have a very good residual control and affects pests upon contact and not by smell, odour or vapours. The insecticides retain their characteristics longer and maintain their effectiveness when they are applied to clean surfaces. So it is important that wherever Pests are typically seen, those surfaces are cleaned prior to the insecticide application.

Before the treatment begins, the residents should leave the area and not return for at least 2 hours. The surfaces treated may be wet to touch and may need 30 minutes to 2 hours to dry, depending upon relative humidity, temperature and ventilation.

It may take 3 to 5 weeks for the Infestation to disappear.

How should Client Prepare for the Treatment/Extermination?

Cleanse Well and Reduce Clutter by Organizing and Arranging Articles in Cabinets in Kitchen and Washrooms.

For a quick and effective result from the treatment:

• Clean all Cabinets, Closets, Shelves, and Drawers by a Vacuuming and a Damp Cloth.
  
• Also, clean behind and around the Stove & Fridge and other appliances.
  
• Also fill in any cracks and gaps with Silicone Gel or Foam Filler.
  
  Articles that can be moved, should be moved at least 6 inches away from the walls to facilitate spraying of the baseboards.
